Biochar as a Tool for Sustainability: Production and Agricultural and Environmental Applications
This course explores biochar as an innovative and versatile solution to enhance both agricultural and environmental sustainability. It will cover its production from biomass, key physicochemical properties, and a wide range of applications. Special focus will be given to its role in soil improvement and regenerative agriculture, as well as its integration into environmental remediation technologies, including water treatment and pollutant removal. The course will be enriched with practical case studies and a critical discussion on the challenges and future opportunities in the development and application of biochar.
