Senior Researcher at Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), Brazil
Agronomist from the Federal University of Viçosa, with a master’s and a PhD in Soils and Plant Nutrition from the same university, and a postdoctoral degree from CSIRO Land and Water, Australia. He has been a researcher at Embrapa Soils since 2001 and currently coordinates the Innovation Center for Agricultural Inputs in Tropical Agriculture, a research group focused on developing alternatives to improve the efficiency of use and create new fertilizer technologies adapted to tropical agroecosystems. He was the coordinator of the FertBrasil Network from 2009 to 2018 and Head of R&D at Embrapa Soils from 2018 to 2019. He has experience in Agronomy, with emphasis on Soil Organic Matter and Fertility, working mainly on the following topics: agricultural use of organic waste, new fertilizer technologies, and best practices for efficient fertilizer use.
