Agronomist at INIA Chile specializing on nutrient cycling in livestock and agricultural systems with a focus on measuring and mitigating ammonia, greenhouse gas (GHG – nitrous oxide in particular) and leaching from agricultural systems. Dr Salazar aim is to develop options for manure and soil management that reduce nutrient losses to improve livestock productivity and help achieve climate change mitigation and adaptation. He is part of the national team for GHG inventory for Agriculture.
